SmartStart Evaluators:
  • Meet with project leaders to plan out evaluation tasks and timeline
  • Develop an evaluation scope of work document
  • Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol completion
  • Work with project leaders to develop a logic model as a snapshot of your project
  • Collaborate with project leaders to create benchmark/milestone charts to track project progress, when appropriate
  • Work with project leaders to track participants and implementation of activities
  • Create evaluation surveys, focus group and interview protocols, rubrics, and other data collection tools aligned with the goals of your project
  • Conduct online surveys and track completion
  • Interview, observe, and conduct focus groups with project participants, community members, and stakeholders.
  • Analyze data using specialized quantitative and qualitative software
  • Incorporate analysis of institutional quantitative data such as standardized test scores and grade point averages
  • Compare results to a comparison group and/or conduct a pre/post evaluation to assess impact
  • Develop quarter, annual, and project evaluation deliverables
  • Attend project meetings, seminars, institutes, and workshops
